This is probably the most asked question and the answer is, I don’t know, perhaps they mistakenly believe that if they hold out long enough we will just go away.

Under Australian consumer law they are required to repair / replace or refund. They are refusing to do any of these.

Additionally the mechanic that I spoke to and the General Manager both stated that the signage on the read of the Yeti was hurting the business. I don’t know why it would hurt the business; after all it just states that the Yeti is operating as designed.

They both additionally stated that numerous customers had sent pictures of the Yeti enquiring if it also affected them. I don’t know what these customers were told. Hopefully it was the truth, that Skoda / VW Australia have advised that it can affect ALL DSG equipped vehicles.
